Yes, I've Been To a Party at an Ambassador's House

I'm very proud of that fact. On Independence Day, the U.S. Ambassador to Guyana hosted a party for all U.S. nationals in Guyana at his large mansion northeast of Georgetown. Anyone with U.S. citizenship was invited, from currently-serving volunteers, missionaries, employees of the CDC or Embassy, and even the visiting group from Loma Linda university in California. They fed us with catered food and libations, and then we spent the rest of the balmy afternoon in and around the cool, clear pool, the bluest water in all of Guyana.
