Continuing with the tradition of getting these St. Cuthbert's shots out of order, here is one I took on our way
out to that Amerindian village. We rode in the bed of a huge truck that had been constructed to carry large groups of people, army-style, complete with wooden benches and a tarpaulin-covered frame overhead. There weren't enough seats so some people had to stand. I stood just because I was
loving this experience. It was rugged, exciting, and just about the most adventurous thing we had done so far. I couldn't help but compare it to the chase sequence in
Raiders of the Lost Ark where the Nazis had the Ark of the Covenant in the back of a covered truck and Indiana Jones was chasing them down to recover it. Kumar chasing behind us in a Land Rover only served to heighten the comparison.
