Guyanese Fast Food

Here is the Qik Serv in New Amsterdam, also referred to sometimes as "Demico House." It is the only place in town serving fast food, and you can actually get burgers and fried chicken and french fries there. They even have veggie burgers!... sometimes. The prices were a little high for a little ol' PCV's salary, but I ate there every once in a while when I wanted a taste of the U.S. (and when I wanted to relax in a nice air conditioned, clean environment). Though we rarely ate proper food there, we often had soft serve cones there, for about $.75 US.
